New Smoke Alarm Legislation

The regulations require homes and rental properties to have mains-powered smoke alarms professionally installed before they can be sold or re-tenanted.

 

 

RCD's - Safety Switches

In recent years 23 people including 6 children have been electrocuted in homes in Western Australia. All of these deaths could have been prevented if RCD's had been fitted to the power point and lighting circuits.

New legislation will apply to those selling their homes and to landlords. Every home sold or leased will need to be fitted with a minimumof two RCD's, which must protect all power point and lighting circuits.
